What is life to you, personally? Curious to how others view the importance and reason behind their own individual life.

I'm a Theosophist, I live in three worlds.
For me this life is one in a never-ending cycle of revivification of my ego (or soul) in bodies that I chose before birth.
For a Theosophist, there is no pre-determined purpose for life, rather you just live life in order for your ego to mature and grow even more. For example, when people are old in their 90's they hold far greater wisdom then the young people of their day. But they are destined for death soon enough, and then their cycle starts again, their new chosen body doesn't retain the knowledge of their previous life, but their ego does.

Life is meant to be enjoyed. If you're not happy, you're not living right.

Life is meant to be enjoyed. If you're not happy, you're not living right. So you think that's why we're here, to enjoy life? To just be happy all the time? Life is the good and bad.

I feel that in order to be happy, you need to be content. Being content comes from accepting reality and what it hands you. It's pretty cut and dry, but I'll elaborate if you want.

Depends I guess. Life to me is a series of events that define our existence on this earth. It is neither good nor bad, but rather a way for us to experiance and adapt. I stopped thinking life was to be enjoyed ages ago, I simply believe life is something to experiance and to understand.
Life comes with positives and lots of negatives, but living is also feeling - and so if I look at every bad thing in my life then I am learning, which justifies in its own right why life sucks. xD My brain is very sort of... pessimistic on this topic though. I don't think life is something to pretend is good though, it's just there - and we're here. I see no reason why I should adapt to social norms to define what I think happiness should be.
so when looking at the question, what if life: then it brings me back to it being just a series of events, and how we deal with those events affects whether we're enjoying life or not. ^_^
WELCOME TO MY WORLD!

The point of life is to simply get to know and love God. And to that end, we are given unlimited chances.

Without the bad, what makes the good good? There's a wonderful Chinese proverb that sums up my view of life. A farmer's horse ran away, and his neighbors came to offer their condolences. To their surprise, he shrugged and said "Who knows, maybe this is for the best." Sure enough, the horse eventually returned with a wild mare. The farmer's neighbors rushed to congratulate him, but were flummoxed to find him relatively somber. "How can I be sure this is a good thing?" The neighbors had a chuckle at his caution, but sure enough, when trying to tame the wild mare the farmer's son was thrown from the horse and broke his arm. The farmer's neighbors visited him to check on the boy, but the farmer greeted them cheerfully enough. "You can never be sure, perhaps this was fortunate." He explained. His neighbors were nonplussed, but soon war erupted and all of the young, able-bodied men in the village were pressed into service. Only the farmer's son, with his injury, was exempted. Sure enough, many young men died during the war, but the farmer's son was able to avoid danger.
Long-winded way of saying life is life. Good and bad are subjective, and as I see it, you should just try to derive the most enjoyment out of life as possible (not necessarily in the sex/drugs/rock'n'roll sense; just try to enjoy yourself).

Eh I think life is whatever you make it. You just have to get threw the bad things and look for the good things. Enjoy it because looking back and regretting everything is just far to time consuming and before you know it, life passes you by.

going from a religious perspective. life is a test. how you live your life through all the good and the bad decide upon what happens after your mortal time bomb clock hits zero. then whatever decisions you made during both the good and bad times will decide whether you are deserving of a good or eternity. =D so we are all in purgatory at this very moment in other words

Life? I'm not entirely certain. I don't think anyone truly knows the value of their own lives. If they don't know the value then defining the purpose is impossible. I would love to say that we all have a purpose, we all have a meaning, but in the end I'm left to say who knows for certain? Many die old and broken with such unfulfilled lives, others die contently in their old age. What is it to me? Well to me it's a mystery, one that we won't know until the very moment before our deaths. When the brain finally shuts off and we're left with our final moments, be them in wholeful contentment, or in utter remorse. After that? I don't think any man alive can answer that.
