As also stated in my email, this is the thread, where I ask.....
"As members, what would you like to see in a site and what would you like to add to a site to make it even better?"
Please let me know of your thoughts. Simon

More active members? People just leave at the first sign of a roadbump. If you get what I mean...

I totally agree with Yan. I like everything about this site. It is just all the inactivity. The reason why new people aren't joining is cause nobody role plays and we can't rp since nobody is ever here. So...we are kinda stuck right now.

which is why we are deciding what to do since we are in this sticky situation, so if you could put your vote in the poll of what we can, we can soon decide what we can do

As the other two said, I think this place needs more active members, as does pretty much everyone. I have tried to help all I can in trying to get new members to the site and as far as I know, only one of the ads have been read properly at the various sites I posted them on . I also think as an added bonus that we need a coder. Someone to spice the site up a bit with new skins and such. I know of one person and she probably won't do it... though it's worth a try. Those are my thoughts...

But in General, what do you, as members, like to see in a site, what can you add to a site like thius. Forget about activity for now.

We can just keep going. But that's kinda hard when you're in a battle with hardly five active members out of twenty who signed up... Where the hell did they go anyway?
I say we limbo the damn thing and start rping out of battle.

These are a few of my thoughts on the issue. Keep in mind that I have created them in the past so I have experience in said field.
There are a few mistakes that people make when they create sites:
One, they think that just supplying people with a place to RP is good enough. You make a site, maybe have some story that you made up and then have places/locations for people to post.
Two, they make a site with good rules and game system and usually have some sort of 'battle'.
Both sites could be great as far as Coding and Rules or Characters, but they lack key components that are obvious but never handled properly.
I think the major component is INTERACTION.
When players sign up to RP they want to interact with other players. Usually, friends will join each other in a force or go off and RP somewhere like a waterfall or what not. Well, not everyone knows each other and some players feel left out.
Another way that sites try to INTERACT and I agree with this style is having Story Battles or Site Organized battles. This way, players can take part and not only interact with other players but also with the staff.
My point is that either the Staff or other players need to interact more with one another.
A problem with having Player versus Player interactions though, like this Main Battle, will usually never work due to verbal fighting, complaining about fairness, and what not. The best way I have found is for the Staff to handle a common foe that players can unite together to fight.
That leads to my other point which is BATTLES. I have not seen but a handfull go well and I have RPed for years. They are time consuming for the people who have to handle them, mod them, and sometimes slow a site down due to waiting and what not.
So far, I have not seen a site that I have been associated with that has been able to do it. Even if one or two battles were completed, which they usually are not, it just ends up being a lot of work and then too much.
I have much more to say but I was unprepared for this rant and just wanted to throw out some words of advice.
There has to be a dedicated group who are there to INTERACT with players. It may be a Story Battle or just a Story. It could be some sort of tournament, scholarly or military. The key component though is that people get responded to.
Obviously you can expect people to just lose interest or have life become more important. However, if you want a site to keep going and be fun the STAFF is the most important part.
If you do not really agree, think back to all the sites that actually had Player vs Player action......? The only real successful battles or stories were done by staff members of those sites. It is a shit ton of work and people just do not have the time or consistent interest.
Ok, done.

Maybe a revamp is needed, a mass overhaul. When completed send an email to everyone who has signed up to rejoin, seemed to revive dwrp.

Stev would not have given up if ti was not for RL circumstances. This thread is for trying to move forward, so I thank those for the input, especially Ryan, so I thank you for your feedback which is exactly what I wanted.

I thought that Steve was heading in the right direction by making a main "story" that moved along via the staff. Gives everyone some real context to play in.
I was gonna say some other stuff, then I noticed that some punk had made a long post basically saying the same thing. I was all like "Who's this Zhao Yun chump?" and then Kyle posted and I was like "Oh."
On a related note, hi Ryan. Long time, no see.

Yeah I though that Zhao Yun was pretty cocky.
But then I saw that he was Ryan.
