The palace to the city of Xu Chang is located in the central plaza of the cities perimeter. Here you can request for an audience with the current prefect. The palace consists of a throne room, a kitchen, an open audience chamber, a council area and an upper landing where rest rooms are located.

"Did you ever think that... that it would be this path that was ours?' 'Life is a fickle task, and the lines of fate are not straight..'
Mengde sighed, gazing down at his gloved hand.. it didn't feel right. Back up his eyes peered, taking in the countryside.. and yet, after but a few tender moments, his eyes rested upon his hands. It can't be right. "My Lord, We are here!" from out front of the chariot yelled. Uncharacteristically the Wei lord swallowed deeply, looked down yet again and gave a gut-wrenching sigh. Xian.. was dead.
Despite himself, he smiled, as he exited his personal car to just outside the palace gates where his eyes were immediately drawn to the large crowd and even larger sun set in the distance.. the scene was well, palpable to say the least. Everyone before him was silent, all of Xu Chang had seemed to stop. Forever would this image be written in Mengde's mind; this was what he was here for.. this was his reward.
Smiling now with his heart, he opened his eyes a little more and revealed a face that seemed not so ambitious yet compassionate and warm. With a start his voice echoed across the crowd like a tumbling wave ripping across a sandy shore.
[blue]"I am Cao Cao, and I am here to stay."[/blue] Throwing and arm high he continued on, [blue]"The months behind us have been strenuous and left little for a man's soul to breathe.. but it is a new sunset we face today, and tomorrow, there will be yet another.. That very tomorrow, that moment when one draws themselves out of bed, is what I, and you all can hope for."[/blue] His voice thinned and his eyes scanned the still silent crowd- their faces were interesting with some expressing hope and some even expressing obvious disdain. Such was the reality of life- it really just isn't black and white.
[blue]"For the Emperor, for the people, we shall continue on!"[/blue] he yelled heroically at the end, figuring it was needed to sate the publics' minds. To no surprise they cheered him on as he entered the palace gates. Notably his gaze lingering upon the fading sun, holding that prize in the glint of his eye. It would relinquish soon and the festivities of the night would begin.. ahh court life.
...
"More wine lord Mengde?" Cao gazed at the girl thinking she was far too young for such an event, but nodded and shewed her away. Couldn't have his 'cohorts' putting too much thought into how revealing her attire was. Could it be this was the fortune of Xu Chang? Cheap wine and salty women? He pondered on, his mind never ceasing in its almost manic ways. Around him the party thrived, his officers having moved from their victory feast to the good ol, who can get the most smashed moment of the night. Victories deserved such things, and one must enjoy life when there are others to do so with. Least, that's what Cao believed.. though he didn't necessarily exhibit it. From his chair at the end of the table he sat, still thinking a bit about Xian, and thinking even more about the future that lay in store for him.

Stewing like a cauldron the aging Cao couldn't get the idea of the previous atrocities from his mind. Yes, even bold and ambitious types like him lost their marbles every now and then. He tried to push the ideas away however, hoping with time wounds would heal, time and solitude, at least!
'More wine my lord?' Hmm? That girl again, darn. Smiling for once Megnde ushered her closer and jokingly spoke under his tongue, [blue]"My dear are you trying to get me drunk? There's more than one way to get my to bed![/blue] The girl blushed, seeming unfit for a conversation like so with a man like him. Yet she carried on, parlaying with him after realizing this was probably the only joy of the party he would experience.
