Bu Meng Was in the location were the main city of China will be located after all this Chaos will be done with. He was in a tavern close to the location of the palace were rumors were that Yuan Shao was located.
He sat there for a few hours since he was from these region as a farmer with his farther no one really payed much attention to him. All he was waiting for is Yuan Shao to get out of the palace so he can ask him if they could let him join there ranks.
The clouds were starting to cover the region were they were and rain was starting to fall out of the sky that was starting to make Bu Meng think that he was wasting his time. Yuan Shao was known as the Noblemen of the Yuan family and seem to think that just with his family he could conquer all of china.

Yuan Shao hardly ever left the palace. When he did, an imperial entourage was required, as he was paranoid of all the enemies around him, especially of Gongsun Zan sending enemies against him.
He trusted no one but those closest to him, and even then he trusted them much less than he probably should.
He was leaving the palace this day to make a trip to the marketplace to address the peasantry about raising taxes slightly, to help pay for the upcoming battles. He would be passing through the area that Bu Meng currently occupied now. He sat upon an illustrious white horse, armored and armed, an armed guard surrounding him.

Bu Meng seeing the lord he wished to serve pass by with the reinforcement surrounding him to make sure his protection. He then got up and walked toward the great Yuan Shao and his guards and kneel down with his weapon in his hand sideways in the sign of respect. "Lord Yuan Shao I request a moment out of busy life to have a small word with you." He then dropped both of his sword on the ground in front of one of his guards then backed a few feet away.
He then looked toward Yuan Shao hopping he can trust him enough to exchange a small amount of word that he could ask him to join there army and made sure the Yuan name will be known and his name will be in the books under his command.
The clouds were starting to go away while the rain finally stopped falling. He looked at both his weapon he placed on the ground being scared they would start to rust and will not worth anything during the battles to make sure the victory of the Yuan clan.

Yuan Shao's guards snapped to attention as the armed man approached, and remained that way, the ever present drilling of their attentiveness a main tenant of the Shao army. The guard that stood closest to the man picked up his swords and was then immediately enveloped by his comrades.
The guards then drew apart, two guards standing relatively close to Shao drew closer to him, ready to jump in front of any projectile the man may try. They doubted he would, as he had no visible weaponry, but they were ever vigilant.
Shao spoke delicately to the man, Shao not one to spurn an ally at any time, though of course always cautious. His eyes bulged and tweaked a little bit, as if something was off, and he kept looking around at all times, despite every rooftop being manned by archers from his personal army.
"Hello, good sir. I am Yuan Shao, as you know. What is it that you would like to speak of?"

Bu Meng looked at Yuan Shao directly in the eye helping him knowing more information about Yuan Shao being able to read his fear. "Yuan Shao, my lord, you do not need to worry if I had archers to kill you , would be on the ground surrounded with your blood." He smiled like he was close to laughing depending on Yuan Shao reaction.
He then looked at the guards thinking that it was not the best joke to tell a ruler but it was his type of jokes. "I am Bu Meng and I would like to join the ranks of your army. You can see I have my two swords that are light weight and easily to use then most weapon and it will be better too work for you then against you."

Shao's face contorted with displeasure at the crass joke at his expense. Threatening a lord like that was unbecoming of anyone, let alone a simple potential officer. He did not make a fuss now, but a mental note was made; this man may not be as trustworthy as we would like.
However, he pulled himself together to introduce himself, Bu Meng, a swordsman from these parts. He was a peasant before, a man of little consequence, as Yuan Shao did not know him and Shao knew everyone that there was to know in Ye.
He asked to join the army, step up and be a leader of men. Shao thought it over, and decided that an increase in men would not hurt them in the upcoming battles; Shao had had enough of these other upstarts, and China wasn't going to conquer itself.
As he pondered the question another detachment left the palace, a oddly dressed man that was the spitting image of his father. Shao pondered that for a moment, but went back to addressing Bu Meng.
"You will work for my son, Yuan Tan. He is a good boy. You and him will get along. Let him teach you everything about the Yuan empire, one that he shall one day inherit. It will be good for you."
The ranks folded back around as Yuan Shao began to trot off. The guard who held Bu Meng's swords returned them, and the column moved past. A few archers stayed to watch Bu Meng for any weird movements, but generally the honor guard had lost interest.
