OOC: Wrong culture, but hopefully... fitting.
The rain would not stop. Still, the enemy kept on charging. The cries for death and of death were incessant as for two war lords vying for control of the land. Corpses and swords lay embedded in the ground everywhere as men from opposing sides, spears and swords drawn, charged. So dark were the rain clouds, covering the entire sky that was almost, no it was nigh impossible to tell friend from foe, only enough to see who charged from where.
Chin Xiao slipped, in the mud, stepping, stepping, stepping for ground to take a foot on, as a man came about him, only to raise up his spear. Without thinking, Chin Xiao raised up his dao in his right hand, before quickly thrusting it towards the man's lower abdomen. Still with his weapon raised, the figure stuttered as liquids that were not rain came down on Chin Xiao. Awkwardly raising up his foot, Chin vehemently pushed the body away, pulling his dao out---
The blade of a spear cut past his shoulder, barely nicking Chin, before withdrawing for another thrust. The armor flew off Chin, who, grabbing the body of mud, pushed himself up into a haggard standing position, grabbing at the ground for the armor before swinging his left arm backwards to fling the armor at the spear shaft, just as it came with another thrust and a grunt. Grabbing for his own spear, Chin groaned as he brought the mid part of the shaft up to his elbow, trying his best in the blinding darkness of the clouds, to make out his next opponent---Thrusting his spear into the disabled spearmen from before, he pulled out the blade shaft by raising his foot up again into an awkward front-kick, before taking a stomp forward, stabbing down with his dao and pulling it back up again.
