Tori scratched at the side of his neck as he laid upon his back on a wall, his eyes staring at the blue sky above him. He let out a low sigh as he thought about his day. He had been searching for other officers to interact with but his search had turned up dry. Each time he saw one officer they often disappeared into the horde of people and eluded Tori completely.
Tori was growing lonely, he was sick and tired of being ignored by everyone. He sat up and jumped from the wall before walking off down the street. He weaved between the people before finding a quiet area which was almost like a small garden. It had a few blossoming trees and a little stone bench sat in a patch of flowers. Tori breathed lightly and approached the bench but he didn't wish to stand on the flowers so sat upon the grass.
Tori's bright pink, blue and purple robes matched the colour of the petals of the flowers. He sighed and tenderly stroked one of the flowers. "You have all these beautiful friends to share your day with. I wish I could be with someone." Tori muttered as he laid down on his side and gazed at the flowers. He could feel the cool of the shade from the trees and the gentle breeze caressed his body like a mother stroking her child. Tori felt relaxed but yet his heart remained lonely, his memories of Rui flooded his mind and only caused him to ache inside.

Starting their travels back up once more, Sun Fei led his men east to Jian Ye, his hometown, although he spent little time there. Upon arrival, he noticed the town was occupied by lord Sun Ce. He shared the same surname as himself, but Fei wasn't aware of any relation. He allowed his men to take the weekend off and go into town to enjoy themselves. Fei himself decided to go on a stroll through the city.
Taking his time as weaved through the crowds, Fei eventually came upon some blossoming trees, much like a small garden. Quite a site to be in the middle of the city. As he approached, he saw a feminine looking boy laying on the grass, observing some flowers as he talked to them expressing his loneliness. Noticing a stone bench, Fei assumed he didn't sit on it because he didn't want to crush the flowers.
Deciding not to judge a book by its cover, Sun Fei walked closer and took a seat next to the boy. Looking for company kid? He asked with a friendly tone, hoping to be received positively.

Tori heard someone talk and could feel that someone was next to him, he slowly turned his head and looked at the stranger. He didn't know this man but that was all the more reason to find out. Tori sat up and smiled at the other man. He politely bowed his head towards him. "Indeed I was, I've been searching most of the day for someone to talk to. People tend to avoid me for some reason." Tori replied to the mans question, though despite feeling loneliness his expression was still bright.
"My name is Tori of the Yomi family. I work under Lord Sun Ce. My I know of your name kind sir?" Tori spoke as he introduced himself to the stranger. Tori seemed very non-threatening overall in appearance and in his speech patterns.

Assessing the boy, Fei could see why people avoid him. But unlike most people, Fei knows how that feels and refuses to do it to another. Bowing his head in return to the boy, he notes the boys name in his head. Tori Yomi...one of Sun Ce's men... Assuming the boy must be capable of some thing to be one of Sun Ce's officers, Fei wonders why he can't find at least some company.
Looking the boy in the eye, Fei smiles a bit. It's a pleasure to meet you Tori Yomi. I am known as Sun Fei, no relation to lord Sun Ce that I know. I'm a rogue officer, passing through with my loyal followers. Turning back towards the flowers after his introduction, Fei continues to talk. I used to deal with similar problems when I was your age. You know how I dealt with them? I learned to ignore them, and I found a group of close friends. Although it could still bother me, I choose simply to spend my time with my men, that way I never have to worry about what other people think or say. Words of a wisdom from the blind to the blind.

Tori looked at Sun Fei and took in what he was saying, Tori was always eager to listen to other people hence why the elders in villages liked him since he could just sit there for hours and listen to the old men rant on and on. It was obvious that he was taking in what Fei was saying and processing it in his mind. "It's a pleasure to meet you Sun Fei." He spoke after learning of the strangers name.
"I think I understand what you're trying to say. Maybe I should try that." Tori spoke in a lower tone whilst his gaze shifted to the ground. He pushed his fingers through the blades of grass and tenderly stroked the plant without damaging it. He was still trying to think about the information given to him. Slowly he raised his head and looked at Fei. "Do you have a home?" Tori suddenly asked. Tori didn't actually have a 'true' home and mainly found places to spend the night, even if it meant selling a little more than just money.

Fei couldn't help but notice how calm and attentive this kid was. He was polite, kind, and soaking in every word he had to say. Truly an old mans dream, some one who they could rant for hours to about absolutely nothing at all. It was intriguing, especially since Fei knew he wasn't so eager to listen to an old man when he was Tori's age.
After taking in his words, Fei could tell the kid was processing his every word and considering how to utilize his advice. Inside, this made him smile. He loved to be a mentor and help the younger generations. As he gazed into the grass, the boy suddenly rose his head up and inquired of his home. Fei simply laughed at the idea of having a home after so many years of travel. Not really a set home. I've lived in so many places throughout my life, especially in my adult years. I have family up north, and here in the south as well, but to be honest my home is where ever the people I care for are. Since the people that I care for most are my men, who follow me loyally, my home is subject to where ever we're staying that night. Feeling the grass, gazing with little care towards the ground, Fei sat awkwardly. Many people wouldn't accept that as a proper answer, and others would just call him stupid. Either way, apathy filled his head when it came to people who thought of his way of life so poorly.

Tori once again focused upon listening to Sun Fei, tilting his head slightly as the man explained how he lived and his home. The word 'family' struck deep into Tori's memories. "Family... I don't even know if I have one anymore... I can't even remember where I was born." Tori whispered, not really caring if Fei heard his words or not. Tori still remembered how his mother sold him without a single tear, the crazed expression of a desperate woman begging to pay her rent without hassle. It stuck in Tori's mind, it was something he'd rather forget.
"I'm currently in a similar situation, I don't have a home but instead multiple places where I can settle for the night. I don't own a house unlike my troops but I'd rather not bother them unless I can find no where to spend the night." Tori replied, he was glad to know that Sun Fei had his men to be with. In a strange way the saying 'The world is your home' came into Tori's mind. He smiled a little, he wasn't going to tease or insult Sun Fei about such a way of life, it was common and still a way of living.
Tori noticed an insect moving through the grass close to his hand. He politely raised his hand so the insect could go by. Once it had passed Tori laid his hand down again on the grass and continued to entwine his fingers between the blades.

For some reason this kid just kept listening to Fei go on. It was actually kind of nice to have some one listen so intently. God I'm getting old. He thought to himself as he realized how much he was enjoying the kid listening to him. He heard the boy mumble about how he didn't even know if he had a family anymore. Pretending not to hear it, Fei decided it was better not to pry into some one elses' business. If he wanted to tell Fei, he would open up on his own.
As Tori went on to say he didn't really have a home, it again intrigued Fei as to why he lived in such peculiar circumstances. Doesn't lord Sun Ce offer you a place to live in the palace, or at least pay you enough in wages so you can afford your own home? If Sun Ce didn't do either one of these, there was definitely some thing wrong with how he treated his officers, in Sun Fei's opinion at least.

Tori looked up at Sun Fei, Tori's young face tilted to the side he gazed at the man in a strange manner that almost seemed cute. It was almost like trying to look at a young wolf pup. "I earn not bad wages as a strategist, I just don't feel right owning a home. It's easier to share with other people I guess. It's kind of difficult to explain but... I feel guilty if I even owned my own house, because I just know that some poor family won't get it instead. It sounds stupid... I know." Tori replied, he rarely stayed in the palace since he didn't feel worthy. The offer was probably there but he just never took it.
Tori was more of a wanderer of the streets, he had been like that most of his life. He lived among the peasants and found little joy in the upper class half of the world. He turned his head away a little and blushed a little as a memory found its way into his mind. He tried to ignore it and tried to keep his train of thought upon Sun Fei instead. He was hoping that he wasn't bothering the man with his problems.

Listening to the boy plight, it was indeed quite interesting. Fei didn't quite know what to say to the boy, for it was naive yet noble the way he lived. He definitely was not going to be a hypocrite and criticize him. You have an interesting plight there kid. Some might call it naive, but I believe I'll just label it as noble. That is a very kind thought to think of another family not getting the home, you know? Most don't think that in depth. Fei wondered why he was trying to give him that pouting look. Unfortunately that kind of stuff didn't work on Fei; the best way to get to him was to just simply be straight up. Hints went way over his head.

Tori sighed and scratched the back of his neck then looked at Sun Fei again once the worst of the blush abandoned his facial features, it wasn't the other man who had sparked it off but mainly the similar words from his past from someone close to him who was now dead. "Sometimes I think too far ahead of myself, that's how I always trip up. Though it's only fair for a large family to live in a big home rather than one lone man to take it instead. Thanks for not laughing at me about it." Tori replied.
The boy shifted his sitting position by bringing his legs up in front of himself and pressing his knees against his chest and wrapping his arms around them to lock them into position. He rested his chin upon his knees and watched Fei with attentive eyes. "Do you belong to any kingdom or are you a lone wolf currently?" Tori asked, curious to hear more from Fei.

Sun Fei stretched his arms out, cracking his back and various other bones in his body. He nodded as Tori thanked him for not making fun of him. Fei doesn't like when people crack jokes at him, why would he do the same to some one else? Lone wolf right now, no lord. Fei was at a loss for words, not sure what else to say to the kid.

Tori sighed a little and looked up at the sky, very few clouds passed by and he could tell it wouldn't rain for a while and would remain sunny and warm. "Master Sun Fei... do you want to head into the city and get something to eat and drink?" Tori offered, he was feeling a little hungry and he knew people generally socialised more over a good meal. He knew trade in Jian Ye wasn't too bad so getting something good and interesting wouldn't be too difficult.
Tori had no problems with paying for the meals, having no home meant he spent very little on his money so would always have enough to spend on someone he was close to calling his friend. He aimed to make friends and so that was exactly what he was going to do.

As they relaxed, the sun was beating down on them, clear skies and no signs of any future rainfall. Fei wiped away some sweat from his fore head, when Tori made delicious suggestion for the two of them. Sure kid, I haven't had a chance to eat today come to think of it. Let's go. Jumping up, Fei extends his hand to help Tori up.
Walking next to Tori, Fei begins to search for a good place to get some chow. Know any where good?

Tori smiled and took Sun Fei's hand to help pull himself up from the grass. He let the other man look for places to eat whilst sticking close to him as they began walking. "This is my first time in Jian Ye so I haven't gotten to know the place very well. I do remember a place to eat along that street that had some pretty good aromas. We could maybe try there first." Tori suggested as he started to lead the way up the street. It's wasn't too long until the sweet, drawing smell of food reached Tori's nose.
Tori gave a moan of enjoyment as the aroma filled his senses. He could see the little sit-in restaurant just up ahead, people were busy going in and coming out with great looking food. Tori glanced into the building and grinned with joy as he saw the food on peoples tables. "I'm in Heaven..." Tori squeaked to himself, his eyes glistening brightly as he turned to Sun Fei. "Do you want to eat here then?" Tori asked to make sure his friend was okay with that.
